DAY 1: Sunny Days and Waves at the Roxy Waikiki Classic

Roxy #WaikikiClassic

The first day of the Roxy Waikiki Classic kicked off to a fantastic start with the sun shinning bright over Queens Beach and steady waves for all those competing. Whether you were on the beach getting your hair braided at the Paul Mitchell tent, lathering up in Sun Bum’s moisturizing sunscreen lotion, or trying your chances at the spin the wheel for your own Roxy ‘I love Surfer Boys’, ‘Totally Beachin’ and ‘Stoked’ tanks, there was plenty of fun in and out of the water throughout the day. We were even lucky enough to have our friend Rebekah ofGoldfish Kiss out on the beach creating one of a kind eco-friendly beach bags.

In between heats, girls of all ages lined up for a chance to meet iconic Roxy athletes like Waikiki native and ASP World Longboard Champ Kelia Moniz, four-time World Champ Lisa Andersen, Rosy Hodge, and Bruna Schmitz.

Stay tuned for all the contest results which will be announced today. In the meantime, check out a few great pictures we snapped today at the event. We’ll see you under the sun!
