Roxy Wahine Classic at Waikiki, Queens Beach

Queens Beach in Waikiki was taken over this past weekend by Wahines of all ages for one of the most homegrown, family fun surf events on the planet, the Roxy Wahine Classic. This years Wahine Classic artwork was created by Roxy team rider and watergirl phenom Vanina Walsh, who not only surfs, paddles, swims and races but also showcased her artsy side too through her colorful aloha inspired art. Vanina joined fellow team rider Kelia Moniz, a Waikiki local and professional longboarder, to welcome hundreds of girls to Queens Beach to partake in the free surfing contests, Roxy giveaways, and to be a part of the locals only event now in its fourth year running. The waves were head high all weekend and the girls gracefully showed their skills to the crowds on the beach watching in awe as the future of women’s surfing continues to elevate. Thank you all for participating and look forward to seeing you at the next Roxy Wahine Classic. Stay tuned for updated results.
