The Roxy Womens Longboard event during the Ron Jon’s Easter Surf Fest this past weekend was a huge success with thousands of girls lining up to meet and greet 2007 and 2009 World Longboard Champion Jennifer Smith and catch some amazing surfing. “It was like six minutes to the end and feelings just all washed over me and I was tingling. It’s such an amazing feeling to win. I had some pressure though when I paddled into a wave and left Kaitlin (Maguire) on her own because she can pull a world championship out of her hat anytime.” - Cori’s words after taking home the title in LA COTE DES BASQUES, Biarritz, France (Sunday, July 11, 2010). Cori (33,California USA) defeated fellow finalist Kaitlin Maguire (22, California USA) in a 100% American heat. A huge Congrats to Cori Schumacher, making us proud!

Surfer Style

Today I checked in with a few girls from our surf team who were in town and asked them about their ”summer style secrets.”  They did not disappoint! Bree is a fan of “off-the-shoulder shirts,” while Jen always carries a little “salt in her hair” to look stylish. And Amy? She swears by a “hot pair of earrings.” My advice: try all 3 at once!

Amy, Jen and Bree (L. to R.) share their style secrets
