Aloha, day 3 out of 13 is still too small to run the event. This photo was taken at 620 this morning so that is why it is dark. We are off to go surf Roxy lefts, and stay tuned for some photos
Here is a photo from yesterday of Kassia, we had a ton of fun yesterday afternoon when the sun came out. We had the whole team out surfing and gathering on the beach.
Roxy Pro Hawaii day 2, still not ready to run |
Aloha~ Day 2 here at the Roxy Pro Hawaii and the call is to wait for the bigger waves.

So, today we have most of the Women’s World Tour out practicing at Sunset Beach, to be ready when we do run the event. If it is anything like our artwork for the event, the girls are definitely excited.

Check in later to see what our day is filled with, probably lots of sun and surfing and possibly some great photoshoots with our Roxy Team.

The Roxy Pro Hawaii Situation: Trialists Announced! |

A lot of things are on the line this year at the 2008 Roxy Pro Hawaii…The prize purse has now raised to $85k and there is an excellent chance that Sofia Mulanovich will be crowned 2008 ASP World Champion. She is a former Triple Crown Champ, was the 2004 World Champion, won the Roxy Pro Hawaii last year, and is currently ranked number 1 on the ASP Women’s World Tour.
Last year Hawaiian local Coco Ho won the trials to get into the Roxy Pro as a wildcard and then
went on to beat Stephanie Gilmore in her first round. The question this year is: will Coco be able to win the trails again at her home break or will she be beat out by Roxy up-and-comer Sally Fitzgibbons. Sally has won the Women’s World Qualifying Series this year and is one tough competitor…
The 2008 Roxy Pro Hawaii trialists are below…
Laura Enever (ISA winner)
Sally Fitzgibbons
Bruna Schmitz
Coco Ho
Carissa Moore
Lee Ann Curren
1st Alternate: Bethany Hamilton
2nd Alternate: Rochelle Ballard
Surf Trip to the West Coast of Oahu |
The girls went on a surf trip to the west coast of Oahu to film a segment for Fuel T.V. Here’s some behind the scenes footage from their day!
Autographs & Inspirational Messages |
Hey Friends! I tagged along with some of the Roxy pro girls (including Rosie Hodge, Sally Fitzgibbon & Jenny Useldinger) for a night of signing autographs. The girls stayed at the event for nearly two hours, signing hundred of posters for a huge crowd of people. As tired as their hands may have gotten from endlessly rewriting their names, the Roxy girls kept positive attitudes and goofy smiles all night as they shared their words of wisdom. Take a look!
Super Model Documentary Day |
It was rainy and windy on the North Shore and we couldn’t find any decent surf, so we left the countryside and headed into the city of Honolulu for a different sort of adventure. The plan was “Super Model Documentary Day”, and we brought along renowned fashion photographer David Mushegain. His idea was to have the girls trade in their usual cute Roxy outfits for funny thrift shop attire that they could wear around China Town. Check out the goofy day that ensued.
