Had some fun with Roxy’s Mod Surf Swim Coverup Dress this week! The cream color and perfect crochet makes it ideal to wear on sunny days like these. I tucked it into some high-waisted shorts and then paired it alone with some tights for two completely different looks…this is one of my new favorite pieces! Oh and did I mention my new obsession with Roxy’s new Forth Coming Jeans?! So cute and casual, I love!

Taking these photos was definitely was a good break from studying…CANNOT wait for Spring Break! I’m in need of some warm weather and beach time down in Huntington Beach & then some much-needed snowboarding at the Roxy Chicken Jam in Mammoth (Don’t worry, I’ve been listening to La Roux’s “In For the Kill” on repeat to mentally prepare myself)! Getting the best of both worlds is awesome…this next month better go quick!

The original Mascot Halfpipe Contest is back as a serious battle with a new set of rules! Are you ready to bring your furry-feathery-hairy-scary self to the Mammoth Super Duper Pipe?

The competition is fur sure gonna be stiff this year because you never know who’s behind that gorilla mask or bunny suit! Past competitors include Todd Richards (Chicken), Trevor Jacob (Gorilla), Luke Wynen (The Hot Dog) and Greg Bretz (The Huskie).

Contest details
The Mascot Halfpipe Contest is one of the most popular events of the Roxy Chicken Jam weekend. Contestants will get one run-of-glory in Mammoth’s 22-foot Super Duper Pipe. The winner takes home $3000! Runner up will get $2000 and 3rd gets $1000! There is also a $100 bonus for best costume.

Hyde & ROXY present the best dance party the mountains have ever seen! Hyde (ROXY Heart’s) Dance Music kicks off tonight at 10pm @ Hyde Lounge, Mammoth. This party will happen every Thursday evening all season long, and all the ladies (and guys) who are in town are invited to come along!  Hyde (ROXY Heart’s) Dance Music is a lead up to the blow up party weekend of the year: The Roxy Chicken Jam!

Mammoth has recently posted a brand new position online and they’re taking applicants now! The Unbound Terrain Park is looking for fun-loving, adventurous girls who are passionate about the snow to join them on the crew to promote cool events at Mammoth, such as the 2011 Roxy Chicken Jam! The girls will be decked out in Roxy outerwear by day and will definitely get to join in the industry parties by night! It’s a season-long position, so get your bags packed and get ready to move to the snow! For more information and to apply, click here!

This past weekend, the ROXY crew headed up the 395 to Mammoth Mountain to celebrate the official start of the 2010/11 snow season! The ROXY bus rolled into town around 9pm on Friday, just in time for the Unbound Magazine Launch Party at Hyde Lounge. The red carpet was rolled out and the Hyde female staff was decked out in ROXY head-to-toe (courtesy of us, ‘course)! ROXY and QUIKSILVER owned the night with two tables side by side on the dance floor.

Saturday was an incredible day of riding with the mountain open top to bottom at Main Lodge. The first runs of the season were amazing. We found some hidden powder by chair 12, so the hike was on! As the day turned into night, we set up a ROXY in The Village at Mammoth to hand out swag and 2011 Roxy Chicken Jam “Save The Date” stickers.  People were stoked to receive free ROXY beanies, gloves and snowboard socks. We invited girls to take a snap shot with Torah to post on our Facebook page. After the premiere of the Unbound Snowboard Film: Another Day In Paradise, everyone headed up to Canyon Lodge to see The Sounds live in concert. As always, Hyde continued partying late into the evening with shout outs to ROXY and QUIKSILVER and dancing on the tables- what a great finale to an awesome weekend!
