Last night we came out in support of  Fashion’s Night Out to our Roxy store in Soho.
The turn-out was amazing! Lines formed before we even opened our doors! Our guests got to mingle with our friends from Stila, Minx Nails, Seventeen, NEXT modeling agency, the Roxy athletes, and surf photographer Jim Russi.

Jim Russi was there to sign copies of his surf photography book Flying Through The Clouds, which also features many ROXY girls over the years.

Attendees were treated to Stila make-overs, get their nails did via Minx Nails and had the opportunity of a life-time: to get screened by NEXT models (one of the TOP agencies in the world!) for our casting call. As we are on our search for the “NEXT Roxy girl presented by Stila”, we asked applicants some tough (ok maybe not so tough) questions. Since the girls were there to become the NEXT face of Roxy we wanted to know, “What makes you a ROXY girl?”

Born and raised on California Jim Russi, like many southern Californians, took to surfing at a young age, thus inspiring a lifetime obsession of surfing fueled by his creative talents in surf photography!

Residing in the north shore of Oahu, and traveling the world to snap some of the most imaginative pictures, Jim Russi has photographed for major magazines, advertising campaigns and continues to do great work for both Quiksilver and all of us at Roxy!

His new book “Flying Through the Clouds” is loaded with over 180 images that he has captured during adventures in the sand, water and sky.  

We’re so excited to celebrate his latest release with fellow Roxy team riders including: surf legend Lisa Andersen, Kassia Meador, Rosy Hodge, and Kelia Moniz who can be seen doing what they do best throughout his book now available on Amazon.
