Join in the Celebration #CelebrateSarah

January the 19th marks a full year since the tragic passing of Sarah Burke. She was a pioneer, a leader of women’s freestyle skiing, a believer that the impossible was possible, a generous loving soul, and the brightest smile in the room. If there is one thing that the last year has taught us, Sarah’s effect on the world is exponential, and her life and legacy continue to inspire people all over the world.
Whether you’re facing your fears, helping someone in need, or dancing like no one is watching, there is a piece of Sarah in everyone. In honor of the incredible life that she led and example that she set, we hope you will join in celebrating Sarah, the girl everyone calls ‘Snowflake’. Be a part of the celebration by tagging your Instagram pictures, posts and tweets with #CelebrateSarah

You can also continue to keep Sarah’s hopes and dreams alive by supporting the Sarah Burke Foundation. Learn more about the Foundation here, and Sarah’s inspiring life on her tribute page. Follow and join in the celebration happening on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Wanderlust: Erin Comstock career retrospective

Today we honor or long time team rider, Erin Comstock, with a video showcasing her 10 year career in snowboard films. She’s been in the snowboard game for a over a decade, and her talent and love for snowboarding just seems to get stronger with time. Around here we like to call her the Energizer Bunny, because with all of the ups and downs and bruises and breaks that come with the territory of professional snowboarding, Erin does not slow down. Thanks for charging Erin, you’re an inspiration to us all!

Erin will be guest coaching at ALL of the Roxy Ride Days stops this year, so if you’d like the chance to meet and ride with Erin in person, be there of be square!

Kicking off the 2014 Winter Olympic ride

This past weekend kicked off the contest road to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia with the World Cup/Grand Prix at Copper Mountain, and Roxy girls came out with guns blazing, earning gold, silver and bronze medals in various events.
Torah Bright is back on top! With smooth big airs and stylish technical tricks Torah nabbed her first Gold medal halfpipe finish since her 2010 Olympic win.
Kjersti Buaas used her veteran know-how to navigate the slopestyle course in blustery conditions and took home the silver medal.

Our newest team members, skiers Dara Howell and Brita Sigourney both rode their way to the top of the podium. Dara’s massive spins earned her a 2nd place finish in the Women’s Skiing Slopestyle, while Brita’s skills in the pipe earned her a 3rd place finish in Women’s Skiing Halfpipe.

Congrats to all of the team, you continually inspire and impress us. Best of luck on the contest road ahead, we’ll be behind you all the way!
