Together they create next-level party music that fits nicely alongside peers like The Heavy and Gnarls Barkley. They also sound great in Roxy videos! Their fun ‘n’ soulful “My House” is used in this clip about the epic finals of the Roxy and Quiksilver Radar 2011 at the Euro X Games.

Roxy Guest Blogger: Danielle

Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day. Be prepared, Roxy girls, because Mother Nature is letting it pour!!

Though it’s true that rainy weather can dampen your style- think frizzy hair and muddy shoes- it doesn’t always have to be the case! All it takes is a positive attitude and some suitable footwear. Fun rain boots, like Roxy’s Drizzle Rain Boots, are a great addition to any wardrobe. They keep your feet dry while looking cute too! Personally, I like to take advantage of the mild spring weather and pair them with a cute skirt and leggings. Skinny jeans, like the Dreamer Deluxe Jeans, are another great option, as you can easily tuck them in to your boots! For those days when the temperature drops, I prefer touting a comfy cardigan, like Roxy’s Wind Talker Sweater, paired with a light scarf to fend off the chills. The Gypsy Scarf is a great little piece, and its bright color provides a cheery break from bleak, gray skies.

And just remember, all that rain will make for a gorgeous summer!

Sunrise Sunset

While I’d love nothing more than to swiftly transport myself to the likes of Baja or another distant place, I’m simply stuck dreaming of the possibilities and filling my wardrobe with pieces reminiscent of times and places where the pace is a little slower and I can forever wander into new possibilities. As I browse through the vivid honeysuckles and tribal prints in some of the latest Roxy summer pieces I can’t help but think of rich magenta-infused sunsets and picturesque sunrises that make you want to grab chilled drink, throw on a cozy cotton sweater, and enjoy the day watching time melt away. Sunbleached to perfection and textured but soft to the touch is what I’m buying for some light coverage as I prepare myself, and my closet, for the Summer days ahead… My two favorite selections, infused with some unexpected ethnic additions, are Roxy’s Tequila Hoodie and the Margarita Hoodie- the names alone make my mouth water.

Album: All The Things We’ve Been Told
Featured Track: “Visions Of You”
Record Label: Last Gang Entertainment
Twitter: @modernsupers
Myspace: /modernsuperstitions

Toronto’s Modern Superstitions are an intense quartet of childhood pals with a sound that blends pop, rock, punk and Motown. Though still in their teens, the band — Nyssa on vocals, Matthew on guitar, Henry on bass and Ben on drums — offers some pretty compelling observations on life. We’re big fans of their track “Visions of You” from the debut All The Things We’ve Been Told, (produced by Sloan’s Patrick Pentland!).

Torah Bright: Costa Rica Dreaming

For the last few months, I’ve been on lock down in the US waiting for my green card to come through and I’m going a little bit stir crazy trapped in Utah. One day it’s snowing and the next it’s sunny and let’s face it, as much as I love snowboarding and the mountains I’m a beach girl at heart. I’ve been spending a lot of my free time working out, organizing our house and figuring out our next beach adventure. Jake and I are planning a surf trip to Costa Rica for a few weeks in June (assuming my green card comes in time). We’ve been before and love it but are looking to go to a few new spots down south in Pavones. If anyone has suggestions on places to check out we’d love the insight!

Cheers, Torah
