The Roxy Wahine Classic will take place this Saturday, June 4th & Sunday, June 5th at Queens Beach, Waikiki (Friday is NOT happening). The two-day event period has finally been decided as the surf is looking pretty good for the weekend! The event registration is now CLOSED due to hitting capacity in all Shortboard and Longboard divisions.

All registered athletes must check-in & sign the waivers at the beach to compete. Every participant MUST sign a waiver. If you’re under 18 years old, you must have a parent/legal guardian sign for you. The contest is scheduled to run from 8am-4pm both days, but arrive early to check-in. Please note there is a parade on Saturday morning from 10-12pm therefore Kalakaua Ave will be closed during this time.

I just spent a quick couple of days in Mammoth shooting for Roxy’s Winter 11 campaign. Mostly Zoolander style model shots of the sportswear collection (see above) and some on hill outerwear shots with real models and all (see below).

We also lucked out with the weather and finished up the shoot early so spent all day yesterday riding with the Roxy crew. Such a fun day until my flight was canceled and I found myself renting a car and driving back to Utah so I’d be in time for my sister-in-laws wedding.
