The Roxy Pro presented by Landrover has taken over the iconic stretch of beach, Snapper Rocks, bringing together the planet’s top female surfers including the reigning and four-time World Champion Stephanie Gilmore (AUS) and number two Sally Fitzgibbons (AUS).

Maggie Morrison and Grant Cutler formed Lookbook in Minneapolis back in 2008. Combining Cutler’s sparkling synths and sparse guitar with Morrison’s Pat Benatar-meets-Chrissie Hynde vocals, Lookbook garnered rave reviews and an energetic following. The band looks to Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Phil Collins for inspiration, but brings in electro hooks to keep things fresh and current. For their third album, Shapeshifting, Young Galaxy sent the completed tracks across the ocean to one of the world’s most acclaimed and secretive producers. For nine months, Dan Lissvik, half of the Swedish duo Studio, remixed and remade the songs, and at the end of last year Young Galaxy’s Stephen Ramsey, Catherin McCandless, and Stephen Kamp all sat down at their computers and finally heard the finished album via Skype. The album comes out this month. For now, download the soaring “Peripheral Visionaries.”

Had some fun with Roxy’s Mod Surf Swim Coverup Dress this week! The cream color and perfect crochet makes it ideal to wear on sunny days like these. I tucked it into some high-waisted shorts and then paired it alone with some tights for two completely different looks…this is one of my new favorite pieces! Oh and did I mention my new obsession with Roxy’s new Forth Coming Jeans?! So cute and casual, I love!

Taking these photos was definitely was a good break from studying…CANNOT wait for Spring Break! I’m in need of some warm weather and beach time down in Huntington Beach & then some much-needed snowboarding at the Roxy Chicken Jam in Mammoth (Don’t worry, I’ve been listening to La Roux’s “In For the Kill” on repeat to mentally prepare myself)! Getting the best of both worlds is awesome…this next month better go quick!

You should definitely be on the look out for Marla. Although she always had her eye on a musical career, Marla came to Los Angeles a couple years ago to work behind the scenes in the movie industry. A chance meeting with a record producer allowed her to realize her original dream of making music, and the rest is history. Her new single, “Betty the Raver,” is a good example of the slice-of-life pop that makes her great, and we can’t wait to hear her full length album when it arrives later this year.

Though they formed in Brighton, England, in 2008, Esben and the Witch have a shoegazing, dreamy sound reminiscent of ‘80s acts like Cocteau Twins and Tones on Tail. Their new album, Violet Cries, was just released this month. It’s an uncompromising and starkly beautiful record that will surely boost the band’s upward trajectory. Happy Valentines Day Roxy Girls!

The sun has been shining and the weather has been amazing lately! I found it necessary to hit the beach for a beautiful sunset with my new Cannon 5D. So thankful to be able to see this every night! I’ve found myself wearing fedoras and hats constantly lately…just ordered a couple floppy hats from Roxy, cannot wait to pull them out for Spring! In celebration of this Valentines Day, of course, I treated myself to a couple new goodies…Roxy’s very own Fun in the Sun Hoodie &  the Brilliant Tank. The adorable pastel colors and striped print simply had me at hello! I’m now ready to enjoy this holiday in style Xo
