Beauty Tips and Behind the Scenes in the Roxy Photo Studio

Today in the Roxy photo studio we had a holiday and spring photoshoot…
yes, you heard me right…
SPRING!
(we know, we know, it’s not even October yet…but in the fashion world you gotta work ahead!)
And I got to meet a newer face…Logan Stanton. She was modeling some swim wear and rashguards for the upcoming seasons.
Logan lives in Long Beach, CA and has been modeling for about year and a half. She loves going to the beach, longboarding, and body boarding. You’ll start seeing product shots of her up on roxy.com very soon!

So, how does one apply make-up for a swim shoot?
Good question!
To get Logan’s look, Roxy’s make-up artist Gia Harris recommended these five products:
- Benefit Hoola Bronzer
- Nars Orgasm Blush
- Covergirl Outlast Lipstain
- DuWop Revolotion Tinted Body Moisturizer
- Mac Teddy Eye Coal
In the above picture, Gia applied a soft line of the Mac Teddy Eye Coal to Logan’s lids. She also spread out all her goodies – brushes, blushes, bronzers, for quick touch ups between shots.
It can be quite a long day.
At this photoshoot they shot between 2,500 and 3,000 photos. After the shoot is done they go through each shot, pick the perfect ones for the site, and crop the images for full, side, and detail views.

Hey hun, nice website! I really like this article.. I was wondering about this for a while now. This cleared a lot up for me! Do you have a rss feed that I can add?
