Bio: In 2008 after 3 albums  4 EP’s, and 5 years of extensive international touring with LOUIS XIV, Brian Karscig met Anthony Saffery, producer and member of UK band Cornershop while having a drink in a hotel bar before a gig in Cambridge, MA.

“I’ve always been a fan of Cornershop, and have seen Anthony playing Sitar with Noel Gallagher on a Beatles tribute performance on the BBC, and loved “Brimful of Asha” song and video!!!…. we started chatting and really hit it off.  We kept in touch via email and phone, and would regularly send each other mixes from bands we were in the studio working with….I really appreciated what Anthony was bringing to the production of these songs…Soon after I sent him some solo stuff I had been working on in between writing for a new LOUIS XIV album, he loved it!

We decided to start working on some tracks together by sending hard drives of files across the country, and working out of our own studios respectively.  I really love the club/eastern/beat element Anthony does creatively and really wanted to try something different musically on the side….the result is a handful of tracks that have re-inspired me, and plan to release them as a full length LP, and call the group is called The Nervous Wreckords,”.

In the meantime, “The Nailbighter EP” is now slowly beginning to leak features 6 tracks in which Brian and Anthony finished together in Cambridge, MA at the famous Camp St. Studios (Radiohead, Pixies, Lemonheads, etc.) and the band features Karscig and all friends and bands he’s worked with over the years, (Brian Karscig~LXIV, Mark Maigaard~LXIV, Ray Suen and Mark Stoermer~Killers, Anthony Saffery~Cornershop, Steve Smith~Dirty Vegas, Matt Molarius~Transfer) and the full length soon to follow features many more friends and serenades.

“I really want to make a record that I want to listen to everyday, have fun and invite as many friends as I can to contribute to the songs.  The album and the EP are a dying art….and I plan to do my part to keep making them and keeping them alive”.
