It’s Friday afternoon and this is what I want to do!

I saw Friendly Fires out at Coachella and absolutely loved them.  Enjoy this video. It’s quite refreshing after a long week of work.

Roxy’s Kassia Meador will be in Japan for the next two weeks, she will be going on a few surf adventures (which isn’t out of the ordinary for her) but what is…is that Kassia is one of the featured artist next to Thomas Campbell and Donavon Frankenreiter displaying art in the 2009 Green Room Festivalin Yokohama.  This is Kassia first BIG art show WOHOO!! A couple of my co-workers, Becca and Jade, ran in the Orange County Marathon in early May. For five months leading up to the race they trained religiously – going on early morning runs before work, short runs during lunch, and long runs on the weekends.

When they learned that Roxy was making a line of workout clothes, Athletix, they were so stoked – the OC Marathon would be the perfect test to see if these performance designed workout clothes came through in the real world.

For the race they tested out the Record Breaking Workout Pants and loved them – they are totally marathon worthy.

These pictures were snapped while they were on the 26.2 mile course…you can see the reflective tape on the bottom on the pants. This was great feature because when the race started in the morning it was still pretty dark out. The tape made them visible to on coming traffic.

The pants were still holding up strong for Becca and Jade mid-morning. The day had heated up but the moisture wicking, anti-microbial, UV protected fabric kept them cool and comfortable through the entire race.

I can't wait to get mine! Order some!

So, I have to share….this morning at 7:15, I received a funny random text from Roxy Team rider and World Champion Longboarder Jennifer Smith ..

"Torri!! My new jeans are the best. The super skinny pismo cut is the best. I can go barefoot and the don't drag on the ground. so cool!"

Thanks Jen for the input and I am happy your jeans aren't dragging

We decided to celebrate the launch of our new headphones in style with a special party last night in New York. It totally rocked. Over 400 guests attended the start studded event at Red Bull Space and our girl Daisy O'Dell was deejaying all night long. Read more about the New York style-setters at the event on the Pipline.

Puppy Gigi was in the Roxy studio today. She was so cute. I'm not quite sure what they're shooting with her, but she certainly looked adorable. Who can resist a white, little fluffy puff ball bouncing around the studio.


To get her attention Sara and Evan tempted her with a milk bone. She was a little mischievous, as most puppies are.
