Daisy O’Dell, Roxy’s first DJ, is NOT afraid to play with the boyz….in fact they seem to love her. This past month she’s been busy jet setting across the country, kicking it with Cut Copy, The Presets, Holy Ghost, and Ratatat.

In Chicago, New York, and LA, Daisy O’Dell played with Cut Copy at their Cutters Record afterparties. Check out these photos from the LA stop. They first played at the Music Box on March 10th but then had to move to the Nokia Theater the next night to accommodate more guests. booyahhhh!

Last month I had the opportunity to play some shows with one of my all time favorite bands – Cut Copy! I was really nervous the first night I djed with the boys from Oz, but they were super supportive and really down to earth. It was truly awesome to hear Cut Copy DJ & play some of the music that excites and influences them. It gave me insight into what inspires them to create their unique disco/electro sound. We had a total blast on tour and I don’t think I’ve ever danced so much in all my life!

This past weekend, Daisy O’Dell ponied up with Ratatat in LA at the Standard Downtown for one beat bustin VIP party.

I have been a fan of Ratatat for what seems like forever. I love their music and was really excited to hear what they would DJ. I played right before them and was surprised but thrilled when they jumped on started their set with 90s hip hop! I think it is so cool when bands don’t take themselves too seriously and Ratatat has a great sense of humor. The guys are really nice and the music they DJ is totally fun.
