Lots happened today at The Beachley Pro.  They finished round 3 today where wildcard, 14 year old Tyler Wright, took out current WCT leader Stephanie Gilmore.  Roxy’s Sofia Mulanovich had victory in her heat and looks forward to the Quarterfinals.  By finishing over Stephanie could give her the points to take the lead in the WCT ratings!

We all know that Megan Abubo can surf progressive yet gracefully.  But did you know she is also amazing behind the camera?  Check out her recent trip to Brazil on Surfline. Megan has the eye for many behind the scenes as well scenic beauty of Brazil. 

Starting today Roxy, along with Emergen-C PINK, will be traveling to
different college campuses in California and hosting events to help raise breast cancer
awareness.

At the different college stops we will be handing out
cards explaining how to do breast self-examinations and giving out free
samples of Emergen-C PINK and Roxy gear.

If you’re in the area you should stop by. It is really important to learn how to prevent breast cancer.

Yesterday, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, (October), we had a "Think Pink" party at Roxy headquarters – complete with live music, cotton candy, a raffle, and presentation by the Keep-A-Breast Foundation.

It was also the
kick-off for the Emergen-C PINK College Tour. During the month of October, Roxy will be touring around to different college campuses in California to help raise awareness about breast cancer prevention.

Spinning cotton candy is fun! But a little sticky…It takes a pro to get it just right.

Ashley Lloyd performed live on stage next to some new bust casts from the Keep-A-Breast Foundation. She is not only a musician but also professional longboarder. Her songs are beautiful.

Ashley is one of the only women
in the world to shape surfboards. Check out her creations. She was down at Cardiff this year surfing in the competition. She is also going to be in a new film about woman’s surfing called Dear and Yonder..

Surfline is featuring a story on Roxy’s Ornella Pellizzari, she is a new edition to the Roxy Family and we are very excit
ed to see her doing so great.  Stay tuned as she is climbing the ladder quickly on the WQS ratings!

The 2008 Beachley Classic, stop No. 5 of 8 on the ASP Women’s World Tour, commences its waiting period tomorrow and the ASP Top 17 are geared up to do battle for the biggest prize purse of the year.

In addition to the increased prize purse, the Beachley Classic also offers a 20% increase in ratings points compared with other events this season, making it all the more valuable for surfers looking to contest the 2008 ASP Women’s World Title, crack the Top 5 or re qualify for next season’s Dream Tour.
