Visual Merchandisers from Downtown Disney

Visual_merch_2

We had some interesting guests in the Roxy studio, our friends Jamie, Kelly, and Courtney, visual merchandisers from the Roxy Downtown Disney store. They came for a visit and brought with them new merchandising ideas for their store.

As visual merchandisers, Jamie, Kelly and Courtney design the look and feel of the store. For each new season they organize clothes by color, style, outfit or look.

Their most recent challenge: merchandise the new products for summer with a few older products from spring. The end result: an awesome store layout with fun, new products.

Jamei, Kelly and Courtney, came into the Roxy studio with all of the clothes that will be sold at the Roxy Downtown Disney store and recreated how it will be merchandised. Tables and racks in the Roxy studio were arranged with the new bikinis, dresses, tops, and pants—exactly how they will look in the Roxy stores.

“I like bright colors, it was a mess at first but it actually came together and looks really good,” said Jamie, “If you have a visual eye you should go for it!”

Their merchandising looked great…
I have a hard time organizing my closet! I can’t imagine organizing an entire store!!

Be on the lookout of new merchandising in our Roxy stores.

“It is challenging but super fun! It’s cool seeing the end result,” said Kelly, who majored in merchandising at the University of Oregon.

University of South Carolina, Follow Your Heart Tour

Hi Ya’ll! Today we had our first stop on our tour at the University of South Carolina. We had a wonderful location on campus directly in front of the university bookstore. We made our presence known by parking the bus in front of the store. Next to the bus we placed both the Roxy and Schick Quattro for Women tents. Under the tents we had giveaways such as Schick Quattro for Women totes filled with razors, Roxy music CD’s, Shimmer (a surf video) and the infamous, tee shirt press. Our custom tee shirt press caused a lot of excitement on campus. The line quickly became fifty deep and had students buzzing all over. By the end of the day we even spotted a few girls who were sporting their new digs! We quickly learned that the tee shirt press is going to be very successful!  We can’t wait till we get our flip flop machine……

The weather was very cooperative as well. It was a beautiful sunny day! A temperature of about eighty degrees and a light constant breeze that kept everyone from getting too hot.  Carissa and I turned into sun goddesses as we took on every task we could in the sun. You see, we both were very excited to spend the day in the sun because aside from the bus, Breckenridge, Colorado is where we call home (shout out to the Team Royal Tigers) where we still have four feet of snow in our back yard. Might be why students here were staring at my snow-white legs, which reminds me I could us some aloe. We couldn’t have asked for a better first tour stop experience. The students on campus were all very friendly and radiated a great, positive vibe. Not only was the campus beautiful, so were the people. Carissa and I are off to bed now. Were taking off early in the morning to Old Dominion University. Stop number two on our tour. But before we arrive we are going to take advantage of Virgina Beach!!! More time to soak up the sun, we just need to remember the sun block this time. Keep your eyes open on the road for us, well, actually you can’t miss us. Cheers to a successful first tour stop!!!

Spending our first full day in Columbia, Samantha and I had a chance to scout out the University of South Carolina campus. This is a beautiful area complete with a rather large Greek row. We visited almost all of the sorority houses making sure that the girls knew we were in town and what it was we were doing here. We want to make sure everyone has a chance to see what we are all about and to win the ten thousand dollars to follow their heart.

Here is a photo of two of the Delta Delta Delta girls holding up one of the custom screen print shirts, that we made last night.

After a cold front here the weather has finally turned warm for us, it looks like all the girls here will be getting a chance to test out the new Schick Quattro for Women product we will be handing out at the event on Friday.

Can’t wait to see everyone there!

Screen Printing

At our event Samantha and I will be making custom Follow Your Heart Tour tee shirts using a hand made table, Roxy screens, and paint of some sort. We decided last night would be our test run for our screen printing technique. With everything set up out side the RV we started to get to work. Not long after starting did we realize we did not have much room to dry the shirts and had to become even more creative. After getting the hang of the whole process we got a bit carried away by making sure we had plenty of back up tees incase, girls stop by on Friday but do not have time to get there hands dirty with our tee shirt process.

Hope every one enjoys them. Here are a few of the tees we made.
