Omedetou (Oh-meh-deh-toe) Torah!
(Congratulations in Japanese)

Our team rider Torah Bright won the Halfpipe (HP) competition at the Nippon Open in Japan on Sunday!

This victory is doubly delicious: it catapulted her into first place in TTR world ranking and it was the second year in a row that she won the HP at the Nippon Open.

From the TTR site:

Bright took an early lead with her first Halfpipe run of the day after qualifying 7th for the finals. A fall on her second attempt pushed her to better her score on her third and final attempt that included a FS 5, a massive McTwist, her signature stylish Air to Fakie Tailgrab, an epic Cab 7, finally ending with a BS Alley-oop Indy 3. Now as the Women’s Tour leader, Bright will be looking to keep her Tour lead though the rest of the season and defend her Tour Championship:

“It feels really good to be leading the TTR world tour at the moment,” said Bright after her Title win. “I’m just hoping that I can keep up the consistency at the contests to stay up on top until the Roxy Chicken Jam and take the TTR title once again. But anybody can it from me at anytime. It’s still a tight race to the end with Jamie, Kelly and Jenny. It would be amazing to get two in a row, maybe the hat trick. I’d like a hat trick. I thought it was always special in cricket to get a hat trick.”

Up next on Torah’s schedule: Roxy Chicken Jam!

Congratulations Torah!
